Flooding in Houston Will Not Disrupt Convention
The flood in Houston caused by Hurricane Harvey in late August will not derail this Association’s plans to host its convention at the Hyatt Regency Houston in November.
The hotel was unaffected by the storm. In fact, it is housing the folks who came to the city to aid in the recovery as well as families who were displaced. The airports are operating at capacity. The downtown business district was not damaged and is open and busy. And, the handful of off-site locations we plan to visit are also open for business and eager for guests.
Among ways we plan to contribute to the recovery is simply by being there in November, dining in city restaurants, visiting local attractions, and demonstrating our confidence in the Texas comeback effort. Please join us.
